The Spice Lounge Chef, Subodh Kumar Verma (known to friends and customers alike just as ‘Verma’) has been highly regarded within the catering industry for many years and his food is always very much in demand. He has cooked for many celebrities, like Celion Dion (pictured right) and has in the past cooked for the Viceroy of India near Baker Street, Bombay Brasserie in South Kensington and the Bombay Spice located in Plamers Green before joining the staff at Spice Lounge. While he was Chef at the Bombay Spice his food was reviewed by Fay Maschler from the Evening Standard, who is reputed to be one of the most feared and respected restaurant critics - the only woman to make Michelin-starred chefs tremble - her verdict on Verma’s food was to say that -
“It was among the best to be found in London”
The Spice Lounge has a Banquet Hall available for hire. This Banquet Hall is self-contained (with bar & toilets) and menus can be arranged to suite your occasion, whether it is for a reception, birthday party, business conference or any celebrations.
